Bomb Paris

Mr. FOUAD AJAMI, a professor at John Hopkins, has written a fascinating piece that addresses the Islamic threat facing Europe. The excerpts below are just a taste. His contention is far wider as so are the implications.

Mr. Ajami depicts Europe as a safe haven for Islamic radicals and their offspring whose hatred is rooted in history and resentment towards the notion of assimilation.

Mr. Ajami's argument only adds to the already long list of reasons as to why we should bomb Paris.
Just Kidding.
Or am I?

Now that we know that European nations will easily succumb to violence (Spain ring a bell?) we should initiate US attacks on major European cities. We should make it clear that unless Europe rids itself of radical Islamists the United States will bomb one major public European location every week. It is bound to work especially once we get that missile shield working. And if it doesn’t work then we can start assassinating their leaders along with their wives and children. But first, we should kill the Carter bill that did away with assasinations.

We should also consider blowing up all of the French wine districts along with all the bread factories. After all, the French love their bread and their wine and ruining their diets is bound to cause a major political upheaval.

Maybe then we will see some change.

-----------------------------------------------
Europe's leaders know Europe's dilemmas. In ways both intended and subliminal, the escape into anti-Americanism is an attempt at false bonding with the peoples of Islam. Give the Arabs--and the Muslim communities implanted in Europe--anti-Americanism, give them an identification with the Palestinians, and you shall be spared their wrath. Beat the drums of opposition to America's war in Iraq, and the furies of this radical Islamism will pass you by. This is seen as a way around the troubles. But there is no exit that way. It is true that Spain supported the American campaign in Iraq, but that aside, Spain's identification with Arab aims has a long history. Of all the larger countries of the EU, Spain has been most sympathetic to Palestinian claims. It was only in 1986 that Spain recognized Israel and established diplomatic ties. With the sole exception of Greece, Spain has shown the deepest reserve toward Israel. Yet this history offered no shelter from the bombers of March 11.
SCARY FACTS:

40% of the Arab world is under 14. Demographers tell us that the fertility replacement rate is 2.1 children per woman. Europe is frightfully below this level; in Germany it is 1.3, Italy 1.2, Spain 1.1, France 1.7 (this higher rate is a factor of its Muslim population). Fertility rates in the Islamic world are altogether different: they are 3.2 in Algeria, 3.4 in Egypt and Morocco, 5.2 in Iraq and 6.1 in Saudi Arabia. This is Europe's neighborhood, and its contemporary fate.

Clarke is an opportunist and a liar.

This fellow is a simple disgruntled employee and a liar. He was passed up on a promotion, then demoted, then resigned by submitting a resignation letter which praised Bush. Since then he has written a book condemning Bush, accusing him of inaction, and alleging that Rice is dummy.

But the lies do not stop there and to prove my earlier contention, that this man is an opportunist, I refer you to anew finding revealed on CNN’s Late Edition. Clarke has claimed to be a registered Republican. This is true. However, in the last decade Clarke has financially supported only two candidates both of whom were democratic senators.

I end with more musing from Lady Ann.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Chair-warmer Clarke claims that on the basis of Rice's "facial expression" he could tell she was not familiar with the term "al-Qaida."

Isn't that just like a liberal? The chair-warmer describes Bush as a cowboy and Rumsfeld as his gunslinger -- but the black chick is a dummy. Maybe even as dumb as Clarence Thomas! Perhaps someday liberals could map out the relative intelligence of various black government officials for us.

Did Clarke have the vaguest notion of Rice's background and education? Or did he think Dr. Rice was cleaning the Old Executive Office Building at night before the president chose her -- not him -- to be national security adviser? If a Republican ever claimed the "facial expression" on Maxine Waters -- a woman whose face is no stranger to confusion or befuddlement -- left the "impression" that she didn't understand quantum physics, he'd be in prison for committing a hate crime.

As we know from Dr. Rice's radio interview describing the threat of al-Qaida back in October 2000, she certainly didn't need to be told about al-Qaida by a government time-server. No doubt Dr. Rice was staring at Clarke in astonishment as he imparted this great insight: Keep an eye on al-Qaida! We've done nothing, but you should do something about it. Tag -- you're it. That look of perplexity Clarke saw was Condi thinking to herself: "Hmmm, did I demote this guy far enough?"

Truth of the week. "The New York Times called the Spanish election "an exercise in healthy democracy." And an ATM withdrawal with a gun to your head is a "routine banking transaction." Instead of vowing to fight the people who killed their fellow citizens, the Spanish decided to vote with al-Qaida on the war. A murdering terrorist organization said, "Jump!" and an entire country answered, "How high?"" By Lady Ann

Appeasers Follow. They Take to the Streets

In light of the fact that over 8 million people took to the streets in rage against the terrorists, these people and their opinions are irrelevant. Spain has spoken and its people are united.

Such groups simply hate America no matter what. Furthermore, they do not accept the fact that these terrorist attacks are aimed against the western world as a whole.

Government under fire over bombings

“MORE than a thousand people held a protest in Madrid today to blame this week's bombs in the capital on the government's unpopular decision to support the US war on Iraq.

Shouting "The bombs on Iraq have exploded in Madrid" and "Resign", the crowd gathered in front of the ruling Popular Party's headquarters but were held back by police in riot gear.”

A MOMENT OF SILENCE

They have struck again and Spain is in mourning.

This is a war and there is no other way to look at it.

God forbid a Kerry victory.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The attack occurred exactly 2 1/2 years after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in the United States - and there 911 days in between the terror attacks in Madrid and those in New York and Washington. It also was Europe's worst terror attack since the 1988 bombing of a Pan Am jetliner over Lockerbie, Scotland, killed 270 people.

The 10 backpack bombs exploded in a 15-minute span, starting about 7:39 a.m. on trains along nine miles of commuter line from Santa Eugenia to the Atocha terminal, a bustling hub for subway, commuter and long-distance trains just south of the famed Prado Museum. Police also found and detonated three other bombs.

...

At noon, the nation observed 10 minutes of silence, to begin a three-day period of mourning. Offices, shops and cafes across Spain emptied as people went to stand in the street and remember those killed.

Afterward, many broke into spontaneous applause - a Spanish way to show respect and say goodbye.

Aznar stood outside the presidential palace with senior officials. The silence there was broken when someone angrily shouted: "Send the terrorists to the firing squad!"

What every conservative group on a liberal campus should have.

This toy could come rather handy against those idiots who walk out of classes in order to protest a just war. I recall, with fondness, the protests at UCLA and how these kids simply walked out on their education in order to say things like “Bush sucks”, “drop Bush, not bombs”, “no blood for oil,” and my most hated “make peace, not war.”

They had no alternate proposals and were only out there because they hated Bush Jr.

The Pentagon's Secret Scream: Sonic devices that can inflict pain--or even permanent deafness—are being deployed.

SOUTH POMFRET, Vt. - Marines arriving in Iraq this month as part of a massive troop rotation will bring with them a high-tech weapon never before used in combat - or in peacekeeping. The device is a powerful megaphone the size of a satellite dish that can deliver recorded warnings in Arabic and, on command, emit a piercing tone so excruciating to humans, its boosters say, that it causes crowds to disperse, clears buildings and repels intruders.

"[For] most people, even if they plug their ears, [the device] will produce the equivalent of an instant migraine," says Woody Norris, chairman of American Technology Corp., the San Diego firm that produces the weapon. "It will knock [some people] on their knees."

American Technology says its new product "is designed to determine intent, change behavior and support various rules of engagement." The company is careful in its public relations not to refer to the megaphone as a weapon, or to dwell on the debilitating pain American forces will be able to deliver with it. The military has been equally reticent on the subject.

Christianity is to blame.

Sir Ian McClellan said something rather curious on Bill Mahr’s show last week. He claimed that gay marriages have been around as long as the concept itself. I was taken aback by this comment and began my own research into the matter. After all, if such a claim is true then it certainly needs to be presented in the current Senatorial debates.

It seems that the claim is true. Gay marriages have been officially performed, overseen by emperors, in the East and the West for well over two thousand years. Furthermore, it was Christianity and its emphasis that marriage be used as a tool for procreation that led to the redefining of marriage as strictly a heterosexual activity.

I say it is time we reverted back to the original definition.

There also seems to be no evidence to suggest that gay marriage in the past coincided with bestiality or animals marrying humans. Only those enticed in the practice of bestiality itself could utter such imaginative nonsense (i.e. Bill O’Rielly.)

Here are some excerpts for Wikipedia.org

----------------------------------------------------------------
The East

Same-gender romantic love or sexual desire has been recorded from ancient times in the east. Such desire often took the form of same-sex unions, usually between men, and often included some difference in age (there is far less information available on relationships among women in ancient times. This may in part reflect a philosophy that saw writing about women as unnecessary or inappropriate, or may be because same-sex attraction between women was not valued as it was between men, or may even be because women were not afforded equal status with men, so that, while men were free to pursue sexual and romantic pleasure both within and without marriage, women often were not).

In China, especially in the southern province of Fujian where male love was especially cultivated, men would marry youths in elaborate ceremonies. The marriages would last a number of years, at the end of which the elder partner would help the younger find a (female) wife and settle down to raise a family.

The West

There is a long history of same-sex unions in the western world. That many early western societies tolerated, and even celebrated, same sex relationships is well-known. Evidence of same-sex marriage, however, is less clear, but there exists some evidence, often controversial, of same-sex marriages in ancient Rome and Greece, and even in medieval Europe. Same-sex unions have also been recorded among Native Americans and Africans. In ancient Rome, for example, the Emperor Nero is reported to have married, at different times, two other men in wedding ceremonies. Other Roman Emperors are reported to have done the same thing. The increasing influence of Christianity, which promoted marriage for procreative purposes, is linked with the increasing intolerance of homosexuality in Rome.

Some historians have claimed that same-sex marriage has been documented in many societies that were not subject to Christian influence. In North American, among the Native American societies, it has taken the form of two-spirit-type relationships, in which some members of the tribe elect to take on female gender with all its responsibilities. They are prized as wives by the other men in the tribe, who enter into formal marriages with these two-spirit men.
In Africa, among the Azande of the Congo, men would marry youths for whom they had to pay a bride-price to the father. These marriages likewise were understood to be of a temporary nature.

Finally, in Europe during Hellenic times, the relationships between Greek men (erastes) and youths (eromenos) who had come of age were analogous to marriage in several aspects. The age of the youth was similar to the age at which women married (the mid-teens), and the relationship could only be undertaken with the consent of the father. This consent, just as in the case of a daughter's marriage, was contingent on the suitor's social standing. The relationship, just like a marriage, consisted of very specific social and religious responsibilities, and also had an erotic component.

A bit more about Al Sharpton; the man who does not know much about Kyoto or tax rates.

-It should come as no surprise. Al Sharpton’s favorite song is "Talking Loud, Saying Nothing" by James Brown.

-Jesse Jackson named Sharpton (age 14 at the time) the youth director for Operation Breadbasket, an organization that promoted equal opportunity employment.

-I'd say James Brown was my father, Jesse Jackson was my teacher. Jesse helped me with political and ministerial issues. James Brown was more personal. I would talk to James Brown about a girlfriend, or what clothes to buy."

-Family: Wife, Kathy Lee Jordan, backup singer for "Godfather of Soul" James Brown; daughters, Dominique and Ashley.

-Education: Tilden High School, Brooklyn, 1972; Brooklyn College (dropped out).
