I am posting this article as mere proof that the backlash against the Texas ruling has entered the realm of the absurd.
First there were the polls which indicated Americas dislike for gay marriage. Before the Texas ruling over 60% favored some kind of legal status for gay relationships. Today that number is below 45%.
Also, there is all this talk of a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.

And now this. An actual disregard of the supreme court ruling. These people are going to fight against the freedoms we have won. They are going to do so by nitpicking and challenging the ruling based on technicality. Let’s wish them bad luck.

Virginia To Try 26 For Sodomy Despite Supreme Court

(Harrisonburg, Virginia) 26 men arrested for having sex in a Harrisonburg, Virginia adult bookstore will be tried on sodomy charges despite a US Supreme Court ruling in June striking down the laws.

The men were indicted July 21, about a month after the Supreme Court ruling. Police said the arrests followed a three-month investigation into goings on at the bookstore.

Through a spokesperson Virginia Attorney General Jerry W. Kilgore said the court ruling only applies to sex acts in private. Kilgore believes the Supreme Court decision does not preclude prosecutions for public sodomy or solicitation to commit sodomy.

Harrisonburg Commonwealth's Attorney Marsha Garst said the men who were arrested were not targeted because they are gay. Police would have cracked down on the activity just as strongly had heterosexuals been having sex in a public place such as a bookstore, she said.

Garst could not cite any instances where heterosexuals have been charged under the law since the Supreme Court ruling.

Many legal experts say the state is skating on thin ice. Virginia's "Crimes Against Nature" statute, does not distinguish between public and private activity. Lawyers say that in light of the Supreme Court ruling the state law, as it is written, is unenforceable even against public sodomy.

Kent Willis, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Virginia, told the Roanoke Times, "Our interpretation is that any charges under the sodomy law are invalid at this point." Other misdemeanor charges were available to the police, he said, including lewd and lascivious cohabitation, obscene exhibitions and indecent exposure.

Dyana Mason, executive director of Equality Virginia, a homosexual rights organization, suggested that the indictments reflect the underlying discriminatory nature of the statute. "My concern [is] that this law can still be used to harass and intimidate gay men," she told the paper.

A trial date in the case has not been set.

I am Madagascar!

Lots of people don't really know anything about you, making you
buried treasure of the rarest kind.  You love nature, and could get lost in it
whenever possible.  You're remote and exotic, and the few people who know you
value whatever they share with you a great deal.  For some reason, you really

Are you having trouble finishing the LSAT?
Here is a tip for all those law school bound losers.

Obviously it is an advantage that you take a prep course. I highly recommend taking TestMasters. (http://www.testmasters180.com) They have a great system and wonderful experts. You get the most for your buck.

Here is a brief history of how I scored. He was tall dark and handsome. We met at a bathhouse. He was hung. JUST KIDDING

My first diagnostic, taken without any previous knowledge of the LSAT, was 143. 143 is the lowest 20%. I studied like a dog and it was only enough to reach a score of 157 (77%). A 157 is simply not good enough for UCLA LAW. So I tried again this summer. Currently I am at 162 (87%) and still have almost 2 months to go.

The reason I am scoring better is not due to the fact that I have been studying for over a year. In fact I have not touched the LSAT issue since last October. The main reason is the fact that I am a faster reader. I bought a book “10 Days to Faster Reading” by Abby Marks. It is a small book with lots of eye exercises and different techniques for better reading. It works. I use to read at 150 words per minute. This is below the 225 average. Today I read at over 350 wpm.

So buy the book.

Has Lady Ann gone too far?

Her defense of McCarthy has turned into utter love. She seems to worship the guy. On her web site (linked to the left) she displays a picture of her at his grave-site.

Today I had my naturalization interview with the agency previously known as INS.

Yes, finally I am a citizen. One more vote for Condoleezza-Bush and one more vote against Davis.

Becoming a citizen is an interesting process. First there is the hefty fee (paid for by my BF). Then there is more paperwork and 2 by 2 pictures. Then fingerprinting and an interview.

Remember that scene in the first Matrix where Neo is captured by the agents. One of the agents, agent Smith, pulls out a portfolio that contains a detailed documentation of Neo’s life. My interview was very similar with 2 major exceptions. My mouth did not melt into an adhesive goo and instead of hot agents wearing Armani suits I got a chubby, yet very friendly, Latina.

I was escorted to a room. Inside there the usual office decor. On the desk there was a 2 inch thick portfolio. I guess I have yet to do more with my life. Hopefully it will gain a few more inches before I retire. Can you guess the pun?

The chubby Latina came in and looked over all the paperwork. I noticed that some of the paperwork was turning brown due to time. Others were in Russian or Armenian. Most contained CCCP (USSR) symbols. Upon noticing these symbols, I got chills. All of a sudden I had flashes of communist oppression, starving academics, and evil doctors who wanted to stick needles into me when I was 5. She had it all in front of her. My entire life. There were medical insurance claims form both the US and USSR, birth certificates, school records, and an old picture of my 6 year old, but still handsome, face. Where did they get all this? Has the KGB sold it’s communist soul?

Yes, the Homeland Dept. of Security had all this information. However I started to feel much better when the friendly lady asked me to locate a birth certificate within the portfolio. She did not know which one it was and wanted me to translate its content. I did as she wanted; like any good citizen would. From there the interview was a breeze. I knew that my life was in safe and incapable hands. The department could do very little with this information. After all they had it for over ten years and have yet to translate its content. What does that say about our intelligence gathering institutions? You all know the answer.

On a brighter note. I am officially one of you and should no be confused as a citizen of that country which you silly fellow American seem to think is located in Eurasia

So here we go.

My first gay-Armenian post.

But First a Thought

Affirmative action just for being black? I say, Jesse Jackson’s illegitimate children should work harder and sue daddy for tutoring money.
Affirmative action for minorities within minorities? Now that is more like it.

As time goes by these posts will most certainly reflect my realistic approach to politics. I have a tendency nowadays to be more conservative; all because of a wonderful group of smart kids. Don’t get me wrong. I both humped and hopped with joy like a rabbit the day Lawrence V. Texas was decided. But, I am also one of those people who supports the war on Terrorism, Iraq, and any other entity that is wiling to kill Americans. I, and all current US residents, owe our well being to this truly fabulous country. And all those America haters, otherwise known as traitors by Ann Coulter, can simply leave this country and return to either the third world, where civilization began and later abandoned, or simply France.

Please Note-Until I can come up with a cleverer name that captures my homosexual fondness, Ann Coulter shall be otherwise referred to as Lady Ann. Let’s face it. All fags have some hot babe they wish they could take home to mother in order to hide their homosexuality.

Radical conservatives, those who want to see us parish or converted, should also be among those who are considering moving to the third world. Where there is room for Muslim fanaticism there certainly must be room for Christian fundamentalism. Afghanistan is practically baron; plenty of room for large crosses.

Commonly shared hatred towards gays can be the bonding factor that finally unites Islam and Christianity (Catholics included). Can you imagine what a happy place the world would become? I certainly can. But my friend Grant is probably feeling left-out. Gay bashing, as perverse as it sounds, may have the potential to unite the Muslims and Christians. But, nothing can bring the Jews to the table. They will always be left out.

Back to the whole conservative thing. Let’s be realistic. Gays are not going to get the right to marry today or tomorrow or next week. The public has yet to come around and, until they do, the gay community must settle for partnership status and similar legal rights. This, however, should not be interpreted as a “giving-up” on my part. The fight must be waged for that is the only way to shift public opinion. Bitchy-fags, and talented lawyers, must unite and challenge current views. But this must be done in caution. As we have seen recently with Bush Jr. steps towards equality can come at a price. The Texas decision has united radical conservatives and they will certainly step up to the plate and challenge our newly earned rights. Did I just use baseball phraseology? We can also end up being called sinners and have to work another 25 years to turn the word into one of our own. (Fag, queer, and pussy boy being examples) I don’t really want to spend my life doing this. So let us keep a realistic viewpoint and monitor our own actions.
